Cosmobert is a free educational game, with no account, no sign-up, no ads and no purchases. This page explains what happens to data in three cases: the Android app, the game in the browser and this site. It is written for players, children and adults alike, and for parents.
Who is responsible
Cosmobert is published by Abdeljalil Kabbaj, as an individual, who is responsible for the processing described here. Contact: vailenigma@gmail.com.
The Android app
This part applies to the Cosmobert app distributed on Google Play (package com.cosmobert.app).
No data collected. The app collects, transmits and shares no data. It contains no analytics, no tracking tool, no ads and no third-party service. The game runs entirely inside the app and works offline. The app requests no access to location, contacts, camera, microphone or device identifiers.
What stays on the device. Progress, stars, settings and all the code written by the player are stored in the app, on the device. The publisher has no access to them.
“Clear my game”, in the game's Settings, deletes this data; so does uninstalling the app. “Save my game” saves the game to a file, wherever you choose. “Send my game” hands that file to Android's sharing, to the recipient you choose: the app never sends it anywhere by itself.
If device backup is turned on in Android, the system may include the game in your Google account backup. That backup is between Google and you; the publisher has no access to it. After reinstalling, Android may therefore restore an older game: the file from “Save my game” remains the reliable way to get yours back.
Google Play. Downloads and updates go through Google Play, which processes data on its own behalf, under its own rules. The publisher receives aggregate statistics from Google Play (installs, uninstalls, countries), which do not identify anyone.
This site, cosmobert.com
This site counts its visits the same way, with Vercel Web Analytics: the same data as above, without cookies. That is why it shows no cookie banner: it sets none.
It has no form, no account and no ads. The links to Google Play and to the game lead to services that have their own rules.
How no one is identified (for the game and this site): visitors are only told apart by a technical value, computed from the request and replaced every day. No identifier is kept: no one can be followed from one day to the next, and a visit cannot be linked to a person.
Why. These statistics are used only to know whether the game and this site are being used, and through which channels people find them, to guide development. They are not sold, shared, or used for advertising or profiling.
On what basis. This is audience measurement limited to what is strictly necessary, carried out solely for the publisher, with no cross-referencing with other processing and no cross-site tracking: it falls under the consent exemption described by the French data protection authority (CNIL), provided visitors are informed, which this page does.
Messages you send us
If you write to the publisher, your address and message are used only to reply to you. They are never added to a mailing list without your consent, and are deleted at the latest one year after the last exchange.
Children
Cosmobert is designed for children aged 8 and up. It asks for no name, no age and no email address: no information about a child is passed on to the publisher or to any third party. No account, no messaging between players, no ads, no purchases.
Service providers
Vercel Inc. hosts this site and the game in the browser, and performs the visit counting, solely on the publisher's behalf. This data may be processed outside Morocco and the European Union, including in the United States.
Google distributes the app (Google Play), on its own behalf. The publisher's email is Gmail, a Google service.
The publisher passes data to no one else.
How long
| Data | Duration |
|---|---|
| The game (app and browser) | on your device, until you erase it; the publisher never receives it |
| The technical value that tells visitors apart | one day |
| Visit statistics | viewable by the publisher for one month (Vercel's free plan); Vercel may keep them longer |
| Your messages | at the latest one year after the last exchange |
Security
This site and the game in the browser are only served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). There is no account, no password and no database of players: there is therefore no player file that could leak.
Your rights
Under Moroccan law no. 09-08 and, for people in the European Union, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you can ask to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, and object to its processing. Since the publisher holds almost no data, such requests mainly concern messages exchanged.
Write to vailenigma@gmail.com: the publisher replies within one month. A version of the game with no measurement at all is available on request.
You can also contact a data protection authority: in Morocco, the CNDP (cndp.ma); in France, the CNIL (cnil.fr); elsewhere, the one in your country.
Changes
Any change to this page is published here, with its date at the top. An important change is also mentioned in the app's release notes.
